Great truck stop

In Finlayson Mn. It is called Banning Junction. The restaurant has great food. Friday all you can eat fish. It is on I35 exit 195. I have never seen the lot full of trucks.

Sounds nice. I like indie truck stops and off the beaten path places.

You are so right Davy. I would stop at any Mom & Pop or Indie truck stop before any chain mega back in my driving days. The service, food and atmosphere was usually always better and they always seemed to appreciate your business. Now I still stop with the 5th wheel when we’re on the road every chance I get.

Yep. Ma & Pa can do a better job than the chain stores. I’m posting two, and I’ve been off the road for six years.

Grady’s, I-16 heading for Savannah, GA. Not a big place, dirt lot but it’s always clean and I i think i saw than grading it once (no ruts or mud holes.)

Small restaurant, good food.

Workman’s Travel Center, I-40 exit 35, Ozark AR (out Ft Smith way). Everything a TA has only better. Lots of paved parking, fantastic restaurant. (even took my wife there once.) Last I looked there was a man sitting on a bench in the entry to greet you (it’s mannequin.)

Grady’s has blocked off most of the back lot. Not sure if it’s temp or what. The food is still good.
