Training materials

Good morning drivers,

I was a member of Trucking Truth for years. I haven’t participated in quite some time. I had checked in a few months ago and then again a week or so ago. Imagine my surprise. Lol.

I hadn’t gotten my CDL or even one to school. I was however working in the High Road Training. Since that is gone what would you guys recommend for studying the CDL written materials?

This really helped me a lot. The 3 main tests are general knowledge, combinations and air brakes. There are several tests in each category to help prepare you.

I literally copied and pasted the entire training manual from TT and made it into a word document. Email me at resinshine33@gmail.com if you’re interested in part or all of it. I’m currently studying it in conjunction with the Free CDL practice tests that have already been posted and the answers almost verbatim.

I used CristCDL for gen knowledge, airbrakes, and combination vehicles. I copied my wrong answers into an app called Anki I use for flashcards. And, I used AI to make flashcards for the sections of the manual that I needed. It really helped me alot whether I was on break or had some downtime to go through cards.

When I took my permit test back in July I was on the online sites studying frequently. I found the best way is to study the state CDL manual. I used the online as a secondary study help. Everything from the permit test is going to come out of the state CDL manual.
