Fun with AI while on the road

I just recently started using the upgraded version of ChatGPT to generate some pictures for fun while on the road. It’s an awesome tool, useful and entertaining. Maybe it could be an entire category just for anything AI related. Here’s one (if it comes through) that I sent my boss after a very long wait at a Target DC.

I asked AI to describe how I use AI while on the road:

"Besides creating some entertaining images during long waits at shippers and receivers, I use it to research regulations, plan trips, organize notes, draft emails and messages, and answer questions that would otherwise require digging through multiple websites.

One feature I find especially useful is evaluating ‘what-if’ situations. I can compare different scenarios, look at pros and cons, identify risks, and think through possible outcomes before making a decision.

Like any tool, it’s not perfect and information should always be verified, but I’ve found it to be a useful assistant for both work and everyday life."

I think many OTR drivers would be surprised by how practical AI can be once you start using it as a research and planning tool rather than just a chatbot.

Johnny, very good suggestion. I was wondering if there was any regulation regarding the height off the ground a landing gear leg should be while driving. AI said 12 to 14 inches, which matches my trailer so that was good. I’ve seen some landing gears that are definitely running too low maybe because the driver is just too lazy to give it another 10 cranks. I don’t know, but it’s possible to use AI to answer obscure questions. I’m finding AI more and more useful.
