How many times have you called 911?

I was just wondering how many times you guys and gals have had to call 911 in your careers. What where they for?

I’ve probably called at least 10 times in 8 years, there are probably a few I am forgetting. I’ve called for everything from someone being passed out drunk in front of me. Drunk drivers, wrong way drivers, accidents, objects in the road, fire, someone pulling a Uhaul car dolly and not having the car strapped down at all.

a couple times, once for a drunk driver, once for an upside down car that just happened on el cajon pass and once for a mobile home mover tractor that had a axle loose in his bed. the axle bounced out and struck a pickup truck causing a rollover

Never. I thankfully have never had to call 911 for any assistance.

Never 911 but I’ve used the non-emergency number a few times. I’m local so I have it stored in my phone for the areas I drive. Cattle on the freeway, car stopped in a driving lane at night on a foggy freeway. Portable toilet on fire in the city park. The company recently adopted a zero tolerance, hands off phone policy so now I’ll just chuckle and keep rolling.

When I was driving I was very thankful for not having to call 911 for a few years. Then it seemed like I was around the wrecks and car fires so I had to call 911 three times in a month period. My company was upset at me because they had to replace my fire extinguisher a few times. I told them “car fires.” I was driving up I-15 towards Las Vegas in the summer heat and lots of cars overheat going up Baker grade towards Mountain Pass.

I was just up I-15 yesterday with a 39k lb load getting to the 40 headed to Chicago. Had to throw the 4 ways on and cruise at 35 up the grades.

I would drive that everyday from Las Vegas to Victorville hauling pneumatic dry bulk. I saw many 4 wheelers go up in smoke going up that part of I-15.

1 time on myself in NJ when i got off trucm route. 11 foot bridge ahead.

2 drunk drivers swerving

1 drunk who hit me.

1 guy crashed into a traffic light

1 truck jack knifed in WY

1 in UT when a guardrail was across the highway
